About Pitchix

Pitchix was born in 2007 by Andrea Loughlin. Andrea has had a vast Marketing and Sales career but a far more passionate interest in cars. Andrea is completing a 3 year course in Automotive Mechanics and was working for Midas in Auckland on weekends servicing cars and replacing brakes. Andrea then teamed up with two other ladies in an automotive workshop, assisting with their marketing, as well as working on the floor as a mechanic.

In a short time the workshop was humming and another workshop was purchased. Andrea soon realised that a lot of women really didn't know the basics of how their car should be looked after, and also how much women preferred hearing the details of the mechanics of their cars in plain English and from a woman!

Kendyl Coleman runs the Hamilton/Waikato branch of Pitchix, a budding entrepeneur herself and a qualified mechanic, Kendyl teaches Pitchix courses and runs her own "car racing gear" shop in Hamilton called Xtreme RPM. Check her out and see what she is up to at www.xrpm.co.nz
